Re-connecting wellbeing and

our work for change.

Mary-Ann-mobileHeader-without-text

Re-connecting wellbeing and our work for change.

Taking care of ourselves and one another is a core component of creating lasting change - making that possible is my work.

I’m a Writer, Consultant, Coach and Facilitator working mostly with International Development Organisations and people who care deeply about their impact in the world.

The focus of my work is helping people and organisations reconnect their wellbeing and their impact both individually and collectively.

I've developed a seven-stage process that supports this and helps develop of cultures of collective care where caring for others doesn’t automatically mean exhausting yourself.

Last year I initiated a conference called  Healing Solidarity: Re-Imagining International Development.

The work & ideas housed on this site were originally at Jijaze.com. In July 2018 I took a decision to use my own name for this work and at the end of 2018 I also retired the online space I facilitated at The Replenishment Room.

Jijaze: Wellbeing and Impact. When you're working for social change burnout is a challenge. We help change makers find sustainable ways of working

The process I work with will support you to reconnect caring for yourself and each other with the impact of the work you do in the world so that you develop the ability to be resourced rather than exhausted — personally and professionally.

Using this process I work with organisations and coach people whose work is about creating change to practice reconnecting your wellbeing and your impact so that you can continue having an impact without sacrificing yourself to your work.

Read the Blog

On the blog you'll find writing about why taking good care of ourselves matters deeply.

About why our culture expects us to do it all and do it hard.

And about why self care is the foundation of resistance, and effective change making, of the practice it will take to be part of a long journey to build a new world.

It’s time to take a stand against burnout, depletion and exhaustion and find a new way of making a difference. One that honours our cycles. Sustains our energy. Respects our need for balance, rest and play, and blazes a new trail for future generations. Together, we can create a new approach to creating change in the world.
