A six week of summer mini-course on resisting burnout and building cultures of care. I have built this resource for you based on my learning from experiencing burnout myself, and working with others through it, as well as an anthropologist, facilitator & coach. I am sharing it now because I believe that we need to build the skills and practices for the world we want to see, through this pandemic and hopefully, beyond it. Find out more & buy.
Healing Solidarity is a project I initiated that invites people in and around international 'development' and 'aid' spaces to gather around the work of healing the sector both from injustice in our practice and the working practices that overwhelm and exhaust us. The project currently runs an annual online conference and the Healing Solidarity Collective, an online space for connecting and sharing. Find the website here and join the Collective here.
These are uncertain times for INGO leaders. My INGO leadership Coaching Packages offer a shame-free space to reflect, process and help you stay focused on being the type of leader you want to be. Learn More about the Leadership Coaching I offer.
In a sector full of questions about purpose and approach and facing the reality of racism, sexism and abuse, I write and speak about viable alternatives specific to the development and change making sectors. I also deliberately practice speaking about things that we often don't talk about as part of my activism. I share writing about this with my email list on a regular basis. Read my writing (or commission me to write for you) and Listen to me speak (or hire me for your event).
You can also hear me on the Change Making Women, the podcast I co-host with Ziada Abeid my friend and colleagues based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
On the show we talk to women what motivates and challenges them and how they take care of themselves while trying to make the world a better place.
